Windspoint Cove
Wednesday, July 6
Left Sarah Creek Anchorage at around 9:00 AM. We went over to Yorkhaven Yacht Basin for a free pump out. Our dinghy motor was leaking a little oil so the marina mechanic came down and looked at it to see what was wrong with it. He thought that maybe we had just lost some oil because we had tipped it upside down when we took the dinghy out of the water to have the cover made for it. We had to take the motor off of the dinghy, and we tipped it upside down to put it in a cart to get it up to a shed where it would be protected until we got the dinghy back. We had a wonderful cruise over to Mobjack Bay with calm seas. We went up to Ware river and anchored at Windspoint Cove. This is an excellent anchorage for lots of boats. We took our dinghy a little further up the Ware River. Came back to Tom. and Colette’s boat and the boys finished the last of the oysters.
We went over to InSpeyered for docktails and got home just in time to put the dinghy away before a big storm hit us. Lots of rain. The day are hot, and we wish that we could jump into the water to cool off but there are Jelllyfish and Sea Nettles everywhere.
