Our adventure begins!!!
After having finally sold our houseboat, we have accepted an offer on our house, and have planned an estate sale to sell most of our possessions; we made an offer on a 1999, 44 foot DeFever boat named Gondola. John is as giddy as a kid. I don’t think he slept more than an hour that night. He said “Pam, it’s just like Christmas”.

John and our good friend Mike Ernsdorff plan to travel to Florida the first week of November to inspect the boat, participate in the surveys of both the hull and engines and in the sea trial. The boat has twin Perkins naturally aspirated 135 horsepower diesel engines, a 12.5 KW generator and stabilizers. The boat is out of the water and stored in a environmentally controlled building about 6 months of the year.  The survey will start out of the water and then they will launch for the in water part of the process.
