Left Prinyer’s Cove Marina at 10 AM. Nice cruise for about 30 miles to Picton Harbour Inn Marina.
We got to the marina only to discover that the pier fingers were really short. They worked for us but were far from ideal. 2/3 of our boat was hanging off the end of the dock.
Picton is a nice little town. The first day we waited for the rain to stop and then we walked into town.
We had dinner at The Acoustic Grill. They advertised “Best burgers in town” and we had to agree that they were pretty good. We listened to a guy playing a guitar.
That night we got back we walked over and visited with Aurora. They were at the city dock just a little ways from us.
The next day we went shopping at some great thrift stores and explored the town. We couldn’t believe how busy this little town was for a Monday. We stopped into Prince Edwards Pizza for a slice of pizza and a drink for $5.00. Jim, the dock owner from Prinyer Cove marina was sitting there enjoying a pizza. A bit later, surprisingly, Diane and Steve walked in to get a slice too. I guess this is THE Best pizza in town. That afternoon, we rode our bikes out to a brewery. Tom and Colletta decided to walk. WHEW are we glad that we rode our bikes. The young man at the town information center said that it wasn’t that far out of town. HE LIED. We were all happy to have a brew after that long trek. That evening Steve and Diane stopped by and we had docktails for a bit.
