We are woefully 9 months behind in our Blog. My plan is to add as much text and pics as possible and get it caught up. Some of these post may go very quickly with just text. Others, may include a link to a slideshow with music that will show progress on projects or run a number of months together.

We left Rock Hall Landing Marina in Rock Hall Maryland around 12:30 PM. We headed over to Kent Narrows. It is a little tricky going through the Narrows, you have to go slow and watch your depth. There is a reason that it is called the Narrows. The channel winds around and is very narrow and you hope that you are going in the deepest part as you curve your way around. We made it through and we stayed at Mears Point Marina.
We are NOT impressed with this place. No one came out to the dock to help us come in and they didn’t get back to us on our radio very quickly to tell us our slip assignment. The front desk people were very nice but when I questioned the dock hands (who were hanging around the office when we came in to pay) about why they didn’t help us into our slips they said that they were working on a project and couldn’t get away. This place is so big that it seems quite cold and no personality.
We went to the pool after we got settled in and got our fender boards and lines connected. This is kind of a local fitness center for the community. It’s a huge Marina and you have to walk pretty far to get to the pools or to the bath houses. There is a huge Weight room that is used by the locals as well as the Marina people. After dinner on our boat, we walked down to Red Eyes Dock Bar to have a drink and listen to music. This seems to be the most popular thing to do in the Kent Narrows. One of the “must sees” on visiting the Chesapeake Bay was to have a drink at one of the dock bars. We have been there and done that.
