Friday June 1- Monday June 11
We spent one night at Winter Harbor and then moved our boat to Brewerton Boatyard. We worked it out with Winter Harbor that we would pop back over later for them to repair the minor damage when they were not so busy.
We spent the week cleaning, moving things on and off the boat, putting thing away, adjusting things in the engine room, shopping for things needed for the boat etc. We were also enjoying time with our friends Jane and Al Speyers. Most days we would work until 6 PM and then we would either sit on the back of our boat or go over to their boat for either docktails or dinners where we enjoyed some great sunsets. It was enjoyable to start the boating season like we ended it last year with Inspeyered 2 next to us.
During this time, Pam had a bout with Kidney Stones. Wayne (the owner of the Boatyard) was able to get her into to see his sister-in-law who was a doctor in North Syracuse. After drinking LOTS of water, Pam must have passed them in the night because the ultrasound that she had the next morning showed nothing.
On Saturday, Pam’s niece, Megan, and her two kids, Tighe and Harper, came to see the boat. They live near Ithaca NY and had never seen the boat. It was fun watching the little one try to find small places to explore. That afternoon, Pam went with Megan to the Camp on Otisco Lake to visit her family. It was nice to have family so close by so we could visit them.
John left Sunday afternoon to take the van and our new trailer to North Point Marina in Michigan. This is where we will put the boat up in heated storage again next winter. When we were at Pam’s sisters house in the Chicago area we had Tom and Colletta drop off the bulk of what they were taking to the boat. We loaded it all in our trailer. By doing that, we eliminated a long trip for Tom and Colletta going to New York and then back to Michigan.
He stayed in a motel and On Monday and he drove the rest of the way to met Tom and Colletta, our friends on Greek’s Folly that we will be traveling with again this summer. They left their car there for the summer and will be leaving their boat for the winter. Tom and Colletta stopped at Traverse City and rented a car so the three of them could return back to Brewerton.
On Monday, Pam helped Pat and Tom put their pontoon boat and their wave runner in the water. While she was there she got a chance to visit with Pat and Tom’s friends and see what their life is like on their lake.
