Tuesday Sept 11 – Wed. Sept 12

Today, we cruise back into the United States. We had downloaded the ROAM app that allows us to check into immigration via Pam’s Ipad. John put all of the required information into the app like passport numbers, vessel identification, etc. The process was super easy. Just contacted immigration via the app, reported our location and shortly thereafter, we get a notice saying that we cleared to enter the country. We pulled into Drummond Island’s Yacht Haven Marina. There was a little confusion on the radio and a number of boats coming in at the same time and only one female dock master facilitate our arrival so we had to stand off for a while before they called us in.

I don’t remember setting my camera up for a selfie so I’m not sure what this picture is trying to say.

The marina had a number of courtesy cars. We took one and toured the island a little. Since it is an island the only way to get there is by boat. We drove over to the ferry landing to check that out. People come to and leave the island to go to work everyday. We had lunch at Esther’s, a new restaurant on the island. Drove  around from shop to shop and had a great time. We even scored some fudge.

We have a reservation for Mackinaw Island and the weather looks good for our trip tomorrow morning.
