Thursday, August 30-31 Crocker
The weather finally settled down and we left Little Current and cruised with Greek’s Folly and Aurora to the Croker Island Anchorage. Randy told us that this was a nice anchorage and right next to The Benjamins. After we got our anchors hooked we got in our dinghy’s to explore the area. We found Croker Beach just around the corner.
Short Vacation and Greek’s Folly in the anchorage. Aurora had dragged anchor and decided to go outside. They even had trouble there and had to change anchors to a huge 5 foot tall Fortress anchor. That got the job done.
We liked it so much that we decided to come back later for beachtails. We went to all the boats around the anchorage and invited them over join us on the beach.
The next day we took lunches and drinks and dinghied over and around The Benjamin’s. We were in search of the best anchorages that the Benjamin’s had to offer. We will be back to this area again next year.
When we got back to our boats Aurora felt like their anchor was dragging so they moved their boat around closer to the beach. That night we went back to the beach for more beachtails. Crazy and fun group!
The water is very clear and deep too.
We climbed up this slope for an overlook of the anchorage. Also, at lunch here.
Check out the view. The only thing that would make it better would be a picture of all of us in it too. But I didn’t bring a tripod. So I tied my camera to a pine tree and this is what I got with a timer.
