Isle Of Hope
Saturday, April 8 through April 9
We left Hidden Harbor Yacht Club and Marina around 6:45 AM and cruised around 64 miles to an Anchorage called Buckhead Creek. The next day we left the Anchorage at 8:15 AM and we arrived near Savannah at Isle of Hope Marina at around 11:00 AM. Even though Isle of hope is far away from Savannah, they have a courtesy car and this is a great place for us to provision and work. Since we had toured Savannah the year before with Tom and Colletta, we didn’t need to go back into the city. We borrowed the car and ran lots of errands. Since we had been here before and stayed for almost a week, we knew our way around the area so we got a lot done in the two hours that we were allowed to use the car. Courtesy cars are quite interesting and vary from Marina to Marina. Most of the time they are beater cars with over 100,000 miles on them. This place is no different. They had an old Honda Odyssey that has definitely seen better days and a small little car that wasn’t much better. Since there weren’t a lot of boats around we were able to borrow both cars, one for the day time and one for the evening.
