We Begin The Great Loop, But, First We Head Back To Stuart Yacht For Some Touch Up and Rudder Work
Got up real early and made the 2nd lock through at Port Saint Lucie. This is a 12 ft drop so it takes a bit to go through it. We got to Stuart Yacht around 8:30. We took Eric (the head mechanic) out for a test ride and he determined that we needed to be pulled and check out the rudders. So we get pulled and I team of people start working on the boat. Two guys attacked the rudder issue while the others set out to clean up areas that they missed the last time.
Mark and Becky cruised all the way back in to stay at boatyard so that we could stay on their boat in case ours didn’t get put back in the water that day. Thank God they were here. The guys worked on a boat all afternoon and we were still up in the sling at 3:30, at the end of their workday. Pam went down the road and got a pedicure and picked up the great seafood meals in a bag that Publix has for our dinner. We stayed on Mara Beel that night. This maybe one of our last nights to stay on Mara Beel since they have it up for sale and they have an offer on the boat.
