St. Micheals to Tilghman Island
John and Tom made a beer run. Then we left Saint Michaels and cruised through Naps Narrows. We called some marinas and other numbers to see if it was deep enough to cruise through with our 5 foot draft. We decided to go ahead and take a chance and we are really glad we did. The Narrows is a very narrow channel that goes right through the boating area of Tilghman Island. Right in the middle of the Narrows is a drawbridge that opens upon request. Unique bridge that uses a counterweight system and lifts up on one side. We cruised over to the marina called Tilghman on the Chesapeake. We decided to stay here for three nights since you can buy tonight and get the third night free. They have a beautiful swimming pool and nice marina. That afternoon we rode our bikes back down to the bridge to see the area that we had just passed through with our boat. Stopped at the bridge restaurant/bar and had a beer. Came back to the boat and enjoyed the pool.
