Back To St. Micheal’s
Monday August 22
Left our Anchorage on the Wye river around 10:45. There as an old mansion near us. It was funny because they just used sheep to manicure the lawn. John said this is one of the muddiest anchorages that we’ve had. Tom and Calletta picked up a crab pot line in their anchor. After we left the Rye river the water got pretty choppy. There were small craft warnings out today. We only cruised about 10 miles up the Miles river to St. Michael’s. We had been here before and liked it and decided to come back because it was so close. Last time he came up the Choptank part of Saint Michael’s to San Dominican, this time we came up Miles river and anchored by the Chesapeake Maritime museum. We walked uptown and did a little shopping, picked up some groceries and had a late lunch at the saloon downtown St. Michael’s. We ran into Gillian, Curtis Stokes’ wife, downtown. It was so surprising to see her there. Curtis just opened a new branch of his boat brokerage business in St. Michael’s.
