Back to Fairlee Creek

Our next town that we want to visit is Rock Hall.  We can’t go to  Rock Hall until Monday because the marinas are booked because they are having a Pirates and Wenches event this week-end.  We took a vote and decided that we loved Fairlee Creek so much that we would go back there for the week-end.  We left Worton Creek and cruised a very short distance to Fairlee creek.  It wasn’t as scary or as exciting going into the narrow opening this time.  We anchored about the same place as we were last week-end.  Tom called another MTOA harbor host and set up a meeting with her for tomorrow.  It just so happens that Lolli Sherry and Craig have a home with a dock right at Fairlee creek, just a short dinghy ride from our anchorage.

Saturday August 13 (our 22nd  anniversary) we took the dinghy over to their house and Lolli took us into Chestertown again to go to the farmers market that they have there every Saturday morning.  After shopping at the market we went to the local pastry store called Evergrain and had a small breakfast pastry.

We walked around the town and looked at the local shops.  Lolli works with a local artists Gallery in town.  There were some beautifully unique paintings and art pieces.  That afternoon we went back to the boat and swam for a little while and did a few things around the boat and got ready to go back into Chestertown for a Legacy Parade and for dinner at Lemon Leaf restaurant.

Sunday August 14

In the morning,  John and I worked on cleaning port lights on the starboard side of the boat.  Not as many boats anchored out this week-end.  It was still real hot so that afternoon we just floated in the water and had some beers.  We are really enjoying our time with Tom and Colletta.  Having another boating couple to be with has been wonderful and we all get along so well.  It is had to believe that we just met these two in April and have been traveling with them since Memorial Day.
