Sarah Creek Anchorage
JTuesday, July 5
Buck from B and Custom Canvas brought over our dinghy with the new canvas cover to our marina. We put the dinghy back into the water and drove it over to our boat and put it in. We left Wormley Creek Marina at around 12:30 PM. We decided not to go very far today, so we just went across the river over to the Sarah Creek Anchorage in front of the York Haven yacht Basin. This was a pretty interesting anchorage right in front of the marina and each of us had to find a deep enough place to anchor. We took two dinghys for a ride and found a seafood market. Tom climbed up a dock and got oysters for $.50 each and scallops for $18 a pound. We came back over to Tom’s and Coletta’s boat and the boys put on gloves and shucked the oysters. Some of the oysters had little crabs about the size of a nickel in them.
