Charleston Day 2
Sunday, June 5
Got up and had a great breakfast over at Greeks Folly in the morning, then took our bikes on the 10 AM water taxi over to Charleston again. We had a great time riding bikes all over Charleston. Peggy and Claude where excellent guides. Charleston is a great town. This town is not so good for bicycle riding because of some of the cobblestone roads, no bike paths and narrow streets, but very flat and easy to get around it. Lots of cool history and beautiful architecture in this old town.
Unitarian cemetery that they let overgrow. Crepe myrtle tree growing around a gravestone.
John (the great photographer) took pictures of these beautiful flowers in White Point Gardens. Check out the spider on the white flower.
Battery Park This lovely spot on the waterfront features southern mansions, cannons, cannon balls, oak trees, statues and incredible views of Fort Sumter
Interesting streets and alleys
After our tour, we got back around 5 o’clock and we all went to the pool. Had a fun night just spending time talking and laughing with Claude and Peggy.
